We like to think of ourselves as ‘ambassadors’ of Dumfries and Galloway! As well as our own home reared produce we are passionate about supporting and promoting other local producers, craftsmen and the like. Dumfries and Galloway is a real foodie destination with an array of restaurants, farmers markets and specialty food retailers. As we can confidently recommend the region to anyone who loves our produce we have put together a few recommendations of holiday accommodation and events in the region – all accommodation listings not only get our seal of approval as a quality provider of holiday accommodation but we also deliver to them too.
Wigtown Book Festival
This year we are proud to be ambassadors for the Wigtown Book Fesitval. The festival runs from 26 September – 5 October 2014 and is a 10 day literary celebration in Wigtown, Scotlands national ‘book town’. The festival offers something for all ages as a whole host of talented authors, performers, craftsmen and local producers get together to offer a range of events and activities including book readings, performances and movie showings. It’s great for us to get a chance to support such a great event, authors of some of the most popular children’s books on offer for sale here at Kilnford will be there too. Programmes are available in our shop and more information is available on their website http://www.wigtownbookfestival.com/.
