This month we have finally welcomed the return of a little sunshine to Dumfries and Galloway, we’ve also welcomed back our beautiful Belties who can be seen on the nature trail along with their new additions. All this lovely weather has meant that BBQ season is in full swing and our 3 for £10 […]
You may have noticed we have a new addition to Kilnford’s courtyard. Owners Mark Henderson and Roy Lee spotted a gap in the local market for a one stop gift and flower shop and identified Kilnford as a great place to pop in for a unique gift or bunch of bespoke fresh flowers. They have […]
It’s not every day the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom pops in to Kilnford. You can imagine how privileged we felt when David Cameron chose to make only one stop in Dumfries and that it would be at Kilnford. Mr and Mrs Cameron chatted to staff as they picked up some cheese from our […]

As the month of May draws to a close on the farm we look back on a frustrating month. Constant wet weather has made it almost impossible to make good quality silage for our dairy cows. They require young grass conserved in sunny conditions to make a good feed for winter.
