We’re proud that Kilnford’s pork is locally sourced in Dumfries & Galloway.
Previously, we have used our own farm and herds to produce our pork here at Kilnford Farm. However, due to the recent upheaval of the pig industry our outdoor herd has been forced to close down. After careful consideration, we have decided to source our pigs on a weekly basis from our long term farming friends, the Shaw family at Dryfeholm, Lockerbie. We are confident that the pork is up to the same high standard we strive towards daily at Kilnford.
Our butchers are skilled at curing our own ham and bacon on site here at Kilnford and, with no added water, lots of customers comment how it does not shrink when they pop it in the frying pan.
